Programs for School Groups

We offer age-appropriate educational workshops for school classes on all topics related to Judaism – whether online as a “Zoominar,” or on-site at the museum.

Workshops at the Museum

Planning a field trip to the Jewish Museum Vienna? Our programs are tailor-made for various age groups. Listed below are our workshops for our permanent exhibitions:

Holidays and Celebrations

Everything about Jewish religion, tradition, and customs.

History and Culture

Learn about the impact of Jewish men and women on Our City! over the past 800 years.

Holocaust Education

Remembering the Holocaust is important and requires a personal approach to people, not victims. With the help of objects, students encounter unique stories from the years 1938-1945.

The City Temple is located in the Jewish Community Organization of Vienna (IKG Wien) building at Seitenstettengasse 4, 1010 Vienna.

Welcome to the digital museum

You want to visit us, and we welcome you to the digital museum! You book one of the new “Zoominars” by phone or e-mail as usual and you will receive the documents by e-mail.

This educational material contains a special selection of object images that are introduced and explained as a PowerPoint presentation by our cultural educators in exchange with you and the pupils. These educational programs are suitable for all school levels. For every offer we supply creative assignments for follow-up work. If you send us the results, the letters, diary entries, scripts, photos and drawings that have been produced will be entered into the museum’s inventory. Pupils thus become part of the museum and part of the narrative about Jewish culture and history.

If courses, workshops and tours in the museum are not possible, we are looking forward to your digital visits. Perhaps you would like to read in the meantime about what we offer? Or are you looking for ideas for special projects? Just contact us; we will be happy to advise you
